FAQ

Q: What age are the people in your classes?
A: Ballroom and Latin dancing appeals to all ages. In all of our classes including the Dancercise classes, we have clients in their late teens, we have some in retirement. So it's never too late to start!
Q: From what age could my son / daughter start taking lessons?
A: 3 years old. We have very recently developed special programmes for children from 3 - 4 years old and from 5-7 year olds. Using some of the easier dances such as cha cha cha, waltz, jive, we will be teaching the chidren rhythm, posture, floor presentaion and listening skill.
Q: What do I need to wear?
A: For Dancercise - a sports bra, a comfortable T-shirt and sportwear trousers, runners. Bring a bottle of water and towel.
For Ballroom and Latin dance classes - For adults, smart casual would be best. This will help you get into the character of the dances. For children, anything that the child prefers to be in (runners and sports wear are ok). When the child has mastered the basic steps and progresses to the Competition and Performance class, he / she will need to invest in a pair of ballroom / latin dance shoes. We recommend the brands - Supadance / Freed.
Q: Do I need a partner?
A: For Dancercise - NO
For kids Ballroom and Latin dancing - NO
For Adult Ballroom & Latin dancing - YES. We believe that in order for you to be able to gain the most from the classes, you need a consistant partner. A lot of classes out there make you change partner mid lesson, we have been there ourselves, and learnt that you do not in fact learn much when the lessons are structured that way. So to us, it's very important for you to come to the lessons with a consistant partner. If your life partner is not cooperative, why not rope in a friend, or a sister, or a cousin? It's more fun to share the laughs with someone you know anyhow :)
Q: Can I join at anytime?
A: For Dancercise - it's best that you join at the beginning of the course since the steps get progressively more difficult as the course goes along. However, since we swap and change our routines very often, it is very easy to pick up the steps with a couple of weeks of you joining even if you joined us mid term.
For Ballroom and Latin dance classes - it is possible. We change our dance weekly, so joining a course mid way through would simply mean that you would have missed some dances which you would be able to catch up at the later course.
Q: I am a total beginner, is that ok?
A: Yes, this is what we are here for. Teaching all of you out there who are interested in learning.
Q: My son / daughter are interested in competitive dancing, are you able to teach them?
A: Yes, we were competive dancers ourselves and know exactly what it takes to be a competitive dancer. We will be your mentor and not only will we teach you to dance, we will be able to prepare you mentally for the competitions as well.
Q: Do you give private lessons?
A: Yes, we do. We would taylor make the dances and routines to suit your occassion. We have recently prepared a couple to do a Waltz as their first dance at their wedding. Please do get in contact if you would like to book some private tuition.
Q: I really want to learn, but cash is a bit tight at the moment....
A: Yes, we understand therefore we have recently dropped the price for our Dancercise classes to accomodate. We now also accept payment by credit cards via Paypal. After enrolling online on one of our classes, the option is there for you to pay by credit card via Paypal.
Q: Do I need to register?
A: Yes, please do so since some of our classes are very popular and we want to keep our classes at a optimal size to ensure quality. Please enrol online, by phone on
